Jan Barlow writes and illustrates children's picture books and has just independently published

her first book, Velvet the Very Small Bear, with Janimal Books. Her light-hearted animal stories are about valuing difference, encouraging inclusivity, developing empathy and kindness and building self-esteem, with a touch of fun along the way.
